This child was the second of two boys who spoke to Indiana Jones and Short Round in their cell in 1935.
Biography[]
Captured by the Thuggee, the boy had been forced to work in the mines beneath Pankot Palace.[1]
The boy and his companion warned Indiana Jones about the Black Sleep of the Kali Ma, which was used to force people into serving the Thuggee.[1]
When Jones was taken from the cell and forced to drink Blood of Kali, the boy from the cell had been put under the Black Sleep; he brought forward a chalice so that Jones too would become an unwilling agent of the Thuggee cause.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The "2nd Boy in Cell" was played by Zia Gelani in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.[1] In the novelization and comic adaptation of the film, his and the dialogue of the 1st Boy in Cell are combined into one character: Nainsukh.[2][3]
