The assertion made by Indiana Jones Explores Ancient Rome that Constantine made Christianity the religion of the Romans is incorrect. In 313, Constantine called for tolerance of Christianity within the Roman Empire (and would later become a Christian like his mother) but it would not become the state religion until Theodosius made it so in 380.
