Adam was the first human created by God according to Abrahamic traditions.
Biography[]
Adam was the father of Cain and Abel through his coupling with Eve.[1]
The Black Stone was said to have fallen white from Heaven into the Garden of Eden when it turned black through absorbing so much of Adam's sin.[2]
Legacy[]
Adam was the mythological namesake of an ancient language said to have been the unified human tongue before divine intervention scattered the various dialects around the world in response to the Tower of Babel.[3]
Michelangelo later depicted the creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Indiana Jones director Steven Spielberg was cited in 1996 saying that the script at that point for the fourth Indiana Jones film, reportedly titled Indiana Jones and the Garden of Life, was focused on Adam and Eve rather than Atlantis as rumored.[4]
