Adam Hughes is an award winning American comic book artist and illustrator best known for his pinup-style renderings of female characters. Although he has worked for both Marvel Comics and Dark Horse Comics, he is perhaps most commonly associated with his body of work for DC Comics including their Wonder Woman and Catwoman titles.
Within the world of Indiana Jones, Hughes drew "Mid-Atlantic, April 1916", a two-page Dark Horse comic for the short-lived magazine The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, published in 1992. The artist had previously been announced as writer/artist for a follow-up to Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, the adaptation of the LucasArts video game, for the launch of Dark Horse's Indiana Jones comics which ultimately didn't come to pass: Dan Barry's Indiana Jones: Thunder in the Orient was published instead with no indication of Hughes being involved. Hughes eventually sold his pencil artwork for a proposed story called Indiana Jones and the Jungle Queen.
He returned to the Indiana Jones license for Topps in 2008 for their line of Indiana Jones trading cards to coincide with the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
