Adkins was a captain in the US armed forces.
They were included as part of a distribution chain for an inter-agency intelligence dossier on Irina Spalko prepared for General Robert Ross. In 1957, Indiana Jones was handed the document to verify that Spalko had been the individual that led a Soviet special forces unit to infiltrate Hangar 51 on US soil.[1]
