Ah Pin drove the cart for Miss Seymour, Indiana and Anna Jones as they travelled across China in 1910. He spoke Pidgin English for those who didn't speak Chinese.

When a heavy rain storm stranded the group in a village, Ah Pin was instrumental in finding a doctor for Indiana when the boy was struck down with typhoid fever.
