Alabama University is an American university.[1]
After World War II,[2] the US recruited the former Nazi rocket scientist Jürgen Voller and he was given a new life as Professor Schmidt of Alabama University.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Jürgen Voller's reference to "Alabama University" in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny[1] may refer to the either the main University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa, or more likely, the University of Alabama at Huntsville, which was a center of the early US space program thanks to its association with former Nazi scientists like Wernher von Braun (who was cited to be one of the inspirations for Voller).
