The Albatros D.III was a biplane fighter aircraft used by the Imperial German Army Air Service during the First World War.
History[]
In 1917, while serving under the 124th Squadron, Indiana Jones encountered several Albatros planes during his service on a Sopwith 1½ Strutter. He also took a photograph of Manfred von Richthofen being shot down in his Albatros by Charles Nungesser in a Sopwith Camel. Richthofen would replace his Albatros with the more capable Fokker Dr.I triplane.
