Amnesia is a deficit in memory caused by brain damage or disease, though it can also be caused in a temporal basis by the use of different sedatives or drugs.
In 1939, New Jersey Jones claimed that the American archaeologist Indiana Jones, his alleged brother, suffered from mnemonic amnesia thanks to a poison dart Jones took in the Amazon as a cover to the Normandie captain to prevent him from learning that he and Jones weren't even related.[1]
During World War II, George McHale saved Indiana Jones's life in Jakarta when the archaeologist had been struck by darts which induced amnesia.[2]
