History[edit | edit source]

In 1935, singer Willie Scott performed a rendition of Cole Porter's Anything Goes to the patrons of Club Obi Wan in Shanghai, China.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
For Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Kate Capshaw (Willie Scott) had to learn Anything Goes in Mandarin. A more involved dance sequence was planned for the character but Capshaw's dress was so tight that it restricted her movements, and so her choreography was scaled back as a result.[2]
