Earl Weber was an officer in the British military who worked at an airfield in Shanghai near Club Obi-Wan. He managed to secure three seats for Indiana Jones, Short Round, and Willie Scott on a plane, but, on such short notice, he could only get them seats on a plane that was carrying live poultry, which Weber considered only a slight inconvenience. This plane was actually part of Lao Che airlines, and would soon crash in a mountainous area of India in an attempt to kill Indy and his comrades.
Behind the scenes
Weber was played by Dan Aykroyd, who had earlier appeared in Steven Spielberg's 1941.
