Attila, frequently called Attila the Hun, was the ruler of the Huns in the 5th century.
Biography[]
There was a legend about Attila the Hun eating raw meat tenderized under the saddle of his horse.[1]
It was also said that that Attila set up his court in ancient Vienna, due to the city being the main salt trade centre between Europe and the Orient.[2]
Legacy[]
Amos Hungerford was described as the "Attila of Antiques".[3]
In 1932, Indiana Jones, regaining his senses after taking a beating from the large Indian, felt as if Attila's Hun riders had galloped over him.[4]
Six years later, Jones described his estranged father as "Attila the Professor" when Elsa Schneider said the man had been giddy.[5]
