"Princeton's most notorious failure."
Marcus Brody[src]

Austin "Cutter" Coleridge was a former classmate of Marcus Brody at Princeton University.

In 1936, Coleridge was at the Lucifer Chamber concealed within a Welsh mine trying to access the entrance to what he believed to be Agharta, a fabled city of gold at the Earth's core where the Philosopher's Stone was said to lie. He had already managed to grab ahold of the artifact once before, but Coleridge's left hand was transformed into solid gold.
