Babuskaya was the caretaker of a church in Kiev which held a piece of the Philosopher's Stone.[1]
American archaeologist Indiana Jones visited the church in 1947 in his attempts to retrieve the Philosopher's Stone. When Jones didn't come back, having disappeared through a secret entrance, Babuskaya alerted the authorities which brought in Major Nadia Kirov and her men to arrest the American.
The satchel he had hidden was found on her desk, and she was examining his things, including Albertus Magnus's scroll and a part of the Stone he had uncovered. On his way out, Jones approached her and took the stone from her hand, saying that she deserved a promotion.[1]
