In the mid-1930s, a Bag of Sand, or a Sandbag,[2] was an item traded with the golden idol during Indiana Jones' attempt to try to open a chest containing Snake Pendant of Montezuma with no lock in the mid-1930s.[3]
Having in mind the booby-trapping he was going to face thus allowing him to make his preparations,[4] the archaeologist also used one at the Temple of the Chachapoyan Warriors in 1936 to switch out the fertility idol kept there when he correctly suspected that access to the artifact was booby-trapped. However, Jones misjudged the relic's weight which triggered the structure's defense mechanisms.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In LEGO Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Brick, Indiana Jones merely swips the Chachapoyan Fertility Idol without leaving anything to replace it, immediately trigetting the defenses of Temple of the Chachapoyan Warriors.[5] By contrast, in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, instead of using a bag of sand, Indy uses a pile of LEGO money coins.[6]
