Bagheera was a French publisher of bandes dessinées, operating from 1989 to 2007,[1] which published three original Indiana Jones comic book stories as hardcovers in the Franco-Belgian comic album format. All three volumes were written in French by Bagheera's editorial manager,[2] Claude Moliterni, with art drawn in the ligne claire style by Giancarlo Alessandrini:

The first and second volumes were also included as the third and fourth titles when Shell's L'été des BD!! Une Collection Shell campaign released eight promotional reprints of various Franco-Belgian comics as a set for the Canadian francophone market in the Summer of 1994. Indiana Jones et le Secret de la Pyramide had an additional softcover promotional reprint by Renault in 1996.[3]

A fourth comic, entitled Indiana Jones et les Bédouins de la Mer (English: Indiana Jones and the Bedouins of the Sea), was advertised as forthcoming on the back covers of both Indiana Jones et la Cité de la Foudre and Indiana Jones et le Grimoire Maudit, but no anticipated release date or further details were provided and the title was never published.

Beyond the company's contributions to the Indiana Jones franchise, Bagheera is best known as the publisher of six volumes in the erotic science fiction series Druuna by Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri, along with a number of omnibus intégrales of those volumes and sketchbooks from the same artist. Other titles published by Bagheera include Bêtes et Méchants, Marie Rose and Co, the first volumes of historical epics Kéos and Orion, Aida Nur: Enigme au Caire, Marc Jourdan: SIDA Connection (also by Moliterni), Sera Torbara: Les Larmes de Judas, Femmes de l'Ouest, Ombres sur la Place Rouge, Le Regard de l'Apocalypse and Ypsine et la Carte du Tendre, as well as the comic artists' cookbook La BD fait sa cuisine.
