Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand. Located in the center of the country and on the coast, it is home to the monarchy and is a major center of industry and trade.
In 1935, Indiana Jones, Short Round, and Willie Scott boarded a Ford Tri-Motor Airplane in Shanghai that was supposed to be headed to Bangkok, Siam with a load of poultry, after escaping from Lao Che. Unfortunately, the plane belonged to Lao Che Air Freight, and its pilot ensured that Jones and his companions didn't arrive at all when he and his co-pilot abandoned the craft mid-flight.
