The Battle of the Somme took place in 1916, during World War I, in which the armies of Britain and France clashed with the Imperial German Army at the Somme River.
Indiana Jones took part in the battle when the 9th Belgian Infantry was absorbed into the French 14th Company under Alain Moreau but was captured by enemy forces.
