Ben Ali Ayoob was an Egyptian-born Swiss millionaire. As a young man, Ayoob participated in the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb, and the experience had a profound effect on him. Ayoob became obsessed with obtaining historical artifacts, and devoted his considerable wealth to their collection.
