Benares is an Indian city known for its many religious groups.
The Jones family visited Benares in 1910, and Indiana Jones befriended Jiddu Krishnamurti who taught him about the commalities and differences among the major religions, while Helen Seymour investigated what she considered corruption within the Theosophical Society.[1]
