Bernardo was a pirate working for Emerelda Vasquez in 1936.
Biography[]
In 1936, after a Japanese cruiser attacked the Bantu Wind, Indiana Jones and Simon Katanga took the chance to flee the scene. When pirate captain Emerelda Vasquez saw them, she ordered Bernardo and his crewmates to recapture them.
Behind the scenes[]
It is unclear as to which of the two pirates Emeralda is referring to in "The Sea Butchers". Bernardo is either the shirtless Native American-looking pirate or the cowboy-looking pirate.
