Bigelow's Air Circus was a team of stunt pilots based at Chaplin Airfield in Los Angeles, California in the 1930s.
History[]
Jock Lindsey's Air Pirates flew as part of the circus' show in 1938 and returned in the October of the following year, this time alongside pilot Cliff Secord and historic aviatrix Pancho Barnes. Jock kept memorabilia from the event at his hangar in the town of Disney Springs, Florida and when he and the Adventurers Club converted the site into a bar in 1955, the memorabilia was used as decoration.[1]

Bigelow's Air Circus is a reference to the 1991 Disney film The Rocketeer directed by Lucasfilm Ltd. alumnus Joe Johnston which was set in 1938 Los Angeles and features Nazis as antagonists. The film is also notably referenced in the Hangar Bar via Jock having a coaster from the South Seas Club.
