"Henry, the IRS has absolutely no appreciation of fairy stories."
―Bob Traynor, to Indiana Jones[src]

Bob Traynor was, in the early 1990s, the accountant of Indiana Jones.

Biography[]

At a restaurant in 1992, Bob Traynor was trying to get a handle on his client Indiana Jones' expenses as the man had ran afoul of the IRS. However, the accountant's efforts were offset as the archaeologist was distracted by the voice of an elderly woman chatting to a pair of friends at the next table over. Jones then reminisced over his meeting with Vicky Prentiss in London in 1916, leaving Traynor's matter unresolved.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Bob Traynor was played by Rick Warner in the "London, May 1916" episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles[1]

Although some of Traynor's dialogue is obscured in the final episode,[1] the teleplay reveals that the IRS is suspicious that Indiana Jones is still accruing expenses in his 90s on the same level as during his "prime". The script also notes that Traynor is around 35 years old and peaks with a Boston accent.[2]
