CENTCOM (United States Central Command) is a theater-level Unified Combatant Command of the U.S. Department of Defense.
In 1957, CENTCOM sent out revised deployment on Hangar 51[1] for weapon testing. When Spetsnaz forces led by Colonel Antonin Dovchenko arrived to gun down the Military Police stationed at Hangar 51, Sergeant Jimmy Wycroft tried to explain them about the lockdown to no avail.[2]

The mention of CENTCOM in the novelization of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is anachronistic; CENTCOM was actually established in 1983 while the film is set in 1957.
