Calcutta (contemporary Kolkata) is a city in India.

In 1850, a clipper brig called the Eagle was carrying prisoners from Calcutta to Hong Kong. It was caught in a typhoon and the prisoners on board went down with the ship.[1]
In 1937, Indiana Jones and Gina Lombardi passed through Guwahati from Calcutta on their way up into the Himalayas while investigating the mystery of the Great Circle.[2]
In 1939, the Eagle was discovered in the Bay of Bengal by Indy, Magnus Völler and Maggie O'Malley using the Staff of Kings.[1]
