Carol Schultz, M.D. was a psychiatrist. In 1993, Indiana Jones' family sent him to Schultz to be evaluated. When asked if he had ever been psychoanalyzed, he told a story from his youth, in which he fell in love with Sophie von Hohenberg, and sought love advice from Alfred Adler, Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Carol Schultz was played by Catherine Shaffner in the The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles episode "Vienna, November 1908", which credits her as Carol. The character also appears in the comic adaptation, which includes alternate bookends for the "March 1917" story than those that appearing in the episode itself.

The character's name is a reference to Carl Schultz, who directed multiple episodes of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. The comic adaptation gives her name as Carol Nussbaum.
