In the film's shooting script written by David Koepp, this Cemetery Warrior's death at the hands of Indiana Jones would have happened much later: the Cemetery Warrior was meant to flee the scene through a hole via slipping away under Jones' legs after failing to kill him with his blowgun. His partner would have then followed him via the same hole. After Jones and Williams would have followed his partner through the hole too, this Cemetery Warrior would have reappeared and Jones would have killed him like in the finished version of the film.
