Ceylon (present-day Sri Lanka) was an island nation in South Asia, located off the southeastern coast of India.

In 1935, Indiana Jones received a letter from the British Embassy in Ceylon while at Barnett College relating to funding for his search for the artifact known as the Idol of Kouru Watu. Soon after he traveled to Ceylon to retrieve the artifact.[1]
