Chandra was a contact of Indiana Jones in Northern India.
After arriving in Delhi by air in 1938, Chandra accompanied Indiana Jones in a train through the Terai Lowlands till the village of Tikapur, at the other side of the Nepalese border. Once in Tikapur Chandra organized a great expedition with several coolies, pack mules and horses that reached by foot an abandoned city in Nepal that might be the very birthplace of Buddhism.
It turned out to be that the city was being investigated by Sophia Hapgood. Chandra helped then a shocked Indiana Jones to set up a camp there, but he didn't accompany him to Katmandu or in his latter travel to Afghanistan.
