The Chinese Co-Pilot and his partner worked for Lao Che Air Freight. In 1935, Earl Weber booked the plane the co-pilot helped fly to carry Indiana Jones and his friends to Bangkok.

On board Jones went to sleep, unaware that the two pilots were under the employ of Lao Che, the very man Jones was trying to escape. The pair of aviators abandonned the plane mid-flight and left the archaeologist to his fate.

The co-pilot was later questioned by René Emile Belloq over the certainty of Jones's death.
