Cleopatra's Carpet was believed to be the fabric that Cleopatra hid inside to gain an audience with Julius Caesar.
In 1934, the Adventure Society began exploring Cleopatra's Palace in Egypt when its members began falling victim to a mysterious 'love bug.' When the recovery of a bust of Cleopatra didn't counteract the bug's effects, the Society turned to Cleopatra's Carpet as the likely cause. However, the acquisition of the carpet also had no effect and it was discovered that the love bug was being created by the Heart of Cleopatra.
