Wing Commander Colin Peregrine Williams VC DSO and Bar DFC was a friend of Indiana Jones which he introduced to Marion Ravenwood.

Born in Kenya in 1905. The son of wealthy English businessman Terence Williams, Colin was sent to various schools in England including Eton, Ffoukkes and Cambridge when in 1928 he was expelled for crashing a 'borrowed' Avro 504 into one of the university's refectories. His family shamed by the incident, disinherited him leaving him penniless. Soon after this he joined a fellow student Indiana Jones on an adventure into Borneo. Jones needed an experienced pilot to help get him into the jungle. Williams agreed on condition that they split the treasure 50-50. The two became good friends.

When Indy left Marion a week before their marriage, she married Williams and told her son, Mutt, that he was his father. He voluntered for service in the RAF in 1939 and was subsequently promoted to Wing Commander. For a time, he led the highly secretive Special Operations Unit (Air). During this time he conducted a mission to rescue captured agents in Libya. Although the agents were successfully set free, Williams was forced to crash land his Blenheim and had to go on the run from the Germans. Whilst escaping he met up with the two agents he rescued, his old friends Major Jones and Captain McHale.

All three successfully made it back to British lines in Egypt.

He was listed as 'missing in action' after a mission over Holland as part of 'Operation Handlebar' in 1943.

He was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross.

After his death, Harold Oxley became Mutt's surrogate father.
