A concertina is a musical instrument.

In 1936, Indiana Jones headed to Merthyr Tydfil in an attempt to learn the location of Ben Ali Ayoob's hideout from one of the millionaire's associates, Austin "Cutter" Coleridge. However, Coleridge was less than cooperative and Jones's ended up embroiled in the man's machinations at the nearby Lucifer Chamber during which time he learned that Coleridge's main enforcer, Tarrant wielded a cast of eagle hawks.

Twice the birds frustrated the archaeologist but, for their third encounter, Jones came prepared and brought along a concertina from a local tavern he had visited. He played discords on the instrument which confused and scattered the hawks only to leave an opening for Tarrant to prove himself a capable fighter one on one as well.
