The Crystal Skull of Cozan was one of at least a dozen skulls made of crystal said to possess supernatural power. Indiana Jones recovered the skull in the lost city of Cozan in British Honduras from the Temple of the Serpent in 1933 before it was taken from him by Italian Fascist Leonardo Sarducci. The incident found Jones being branded a grave robber by the country's authorities.
The skull would become an annoyance for Jones across two years as the relic fell into different hands while trying to reclaim it before finally returning the skull to its resting place in 1935.
