The Dark Horse, also known as The Dark Horse Tavern, was a British public house in London, England.
History[]
The Dark Horse was established in 1884.[2]
Decades later, in 1933, Indiana Jones and Alecia Dunstin retreated to the tavern to escape pursuing Fascists. Jones took the opportunity for a meal and Dunstin diffused a situation with an anti-American blacksmith before a fist fight could start. When the Fascists eventually turned up at the door during their search, Jones and Dunstin escaped through the back of the pub although not before Dunstin whispered into the blacksmith's ear and a brawl broke out.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The public house's may be a reference to Dark Horse Comics which published several Indiana Jones comics between 1991 and 2010.[3]
