The Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of around 850 ancient papyrus texts with some of the earliest Biblical writings.
Behind the scenes[]
The Dead Sea Scrolls are mentioned in Rob MacGregor's unpublished novelization of the Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings video game, as a means to expand on the background of Magnus Völler.[2] The game itself has no references at all to the Scrolls,[3] and given how Indycron keeper Leland Chee stated during an interview with TheRaider.net in 2010 that a copy of MacGregor's completed manuscript never never reached him,[4] it's unclear how much, if any, information about the Scrolls retrieved by Völler is part of the Indiana Jones canon or how many Scrolls he claimed in the process.
