The dodo is an extinct bird.
While searching for the Calendar of the Sun with Indiana Jones in 1934, a member of the Adventure Society found a living specimen in South America along with two other birds believed to be extinct.[1]
Walter Donovan referenced the bird while seeking everlasting life from the Holy Grail in 1938, planning to drink to his own health when Adolf Hitler had "gone the way of the dodo".[2]
