The Earthenware Jar was a Chinese urn, made of earthenware, but painted and shaped to appear to be made of bronze. In 1939, it was discovered in the ruins of shipwrecks below Chinatown by Indiana Jones. Jones thought that it was probably used for burial offerings, but its presence and use where he found it was a mystery.
