Ryder Windham's junior novelization of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade states that the figure in the crucifixion painting shown capturing Christ's blood with the Holy Grail is Ecclesia.[1] However, other sources such as James Luceno's Indiana Jones: The Ultimate Guide[2] and Rob MacGregor's novelization of the film identify the figure as that of Joseph of Arimathea.[3]
