Edward Stratemeyer was a writer and the father of Nancy Stratemeyer, high school sweetheart of Indiana Jones. Stratemeyer created the characters of Tom Swift, the Bobbsey Twins, the Moving Picture Girls and others under a variety of pseudonyms.
While over the Stratemeyers' house in February 1916, Jones helped Mr. Stratemeyer overcome writer's block on his newest Tom Swift book.
