Elsa was the name of a secretary who worked for the father of Doctor Elsa Schneider, with whom she evidently got along so well, as he named his daughter after her.[1]

In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure, if the player manages to prevent Elsa Schneider's death at the Temple of the Sun, Elsa will reveal that she was named after her father's secretary, after Henry Walton Jones, Senior mentions that Indiana was initially the name of their dog and Marcus Brody reveals that Marcus was the name of his father's cat.[1]
