- "You're old enough to be her fa... her-her grandfather."
- ―Indiana Jones to his father regarding Elsa Schneider[src]
The grandfather of the Austrian art historian[1] and Olympic swimmer[3] Elsa Schneider was a man who, according to American archaeologist Indiana Jones, would have been around the age of Jones' own father, Henry Sr, when he criticized his sire in 1938 for engaging in a relationship with Schneider by making a point of the large age gap between them.[1]

- ↑ Indiana Jones tells his father Henry Walton Jones, Senior that he is old enough to be Elsa Schneider's grandfather in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, which takes place in 1938. Indiana Jones: The Ultimate Guide sets Henry's birth in 1872, so to be around his age, Elsa's grandfather must have been born during that year or prior to it.
