The Fast Speaking Inmate was incarcerated at the Nazca sanatorium of Anthony de Padua in Peru, 1957. The man muttered in a furious blur of words as Mutt Williams and Indiana Jones passed by, as they were being shown to Harold Oxley's former cell.[1]

The Fast Speaking Inmate was portrayed by Carlos Linares in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.[1]
In James Rollins' novelization, Mutt Williams translates one of the man's babbles as "archaeologist" and approaches him, only to be grabbed by the man. Indiana Jones manages to pull Williams back and the two continue onto Harold Oxley's cell.[2]
