Fedora's grave robbing gang included a truck driver who helped recover the Cross of Coronado from a canyon in Utah in 1912.
Biography[]
In 1912, after a young Indiana Jones stole the Cross of Coronado out from under the clutches of Fedora and his gang, he escaped on a horse. However, Fedora signaled the driver, who arrived with the band's truck to pursue Indiana accompanied by Panama Hat in a separate vehicle.[1]

Driving alongside the circus train
Jones eventually escaped onto a Dunn & Duffy Combined Circus train and the truck driver pulled his truck alongside the train to allow the gang, minus himself, climb aboard to continue their pursuit.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Fedora's truck driver was portrayed by an uncredited performer in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.[1]
During the development of the film's script, written by Jeffrey Boam, there were originally going to be two gang members driving the truck instead of one, implying Fedora's truck driver would have had a co-driver.[2] The finished film just has the driver alone sitting in the cabin.[1]
Though the man is barely visible in the film itself,[1] the comic book adaptation of the film by Marvel Comics depicts him with a hat.[3]
In LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, the truck driver, as with Roscoe, is absent, replaced in the role by Rough Rider.[4] In the sequel, the truck driver is again absent as the whole Young Indy sequence is omitted.[5]
