France is the largest country in Western Europe and had one of the largest empires in the world. It was occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II but was liberated and still remains a world power.
Adventures in France[]
Only one of three siblings, Knights of the First Crusade, who discovered the Holy Grail managed to make the return journey to France from the Holy Land.[1]

Paris in 1939
In 1939, Indy travelled to Paris to find one of the Shepherds. A clue to help find the Staff of Kings. He explored the catacombs underneath the city, found a secret entrance into a German bunker, before finding the secret ruins where Indy's mentor, Charles Kingston had hidden a note to him. Indy had to navigate a Roman Maze first before he reached the Shepherd, a sarcophagus which contained a Cipher of Meribah. Indy solved the puzzle and escaped the city with Maggie O'Malley on board the Orient Express while being chased by German Soldiers.[2]
