Frank Darabont.

Frank Darabont (born January 28, 1959) is a writer and director. He wrote eight scripts for The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, seven of which were filmed, and a rejected screenplay for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull entitled Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods although some aspects still made their way into the final movie. He is well-known for writing and directing three films based on Stephen King novels: The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist. The Green Mile is structured similar to the average Young Indy episode, in that it is bookended by an elderly man telling a remarkable story from his younger years.

In 1993, Darabont was approached to write the screenplay for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. However, George Lucas ended up penning it himself.[1]
