The Ganges River is a large and holy river in India and Bangladesh. The river is about 2700 kilometers long. The Yamuna River is a tributary of the Ganges.
In 1910, during his father's world lecture tour, Indiana Jones and his family visited Benares on the Ganges where the future archaeologist met Jiddu Krishnamurti.
Jones gave Krishnamurti his Ty Cobb baseball card as a parting gift and received vial of water from the Ganges, considered sacred to Hindus, in exchange.
