Garcia's Carpet Company, also known as Garcia's Carpets, was a purveyor of carpets and linoleum who kept premises in Manhattan.
History[]
In 1969, occupying an adjacent street, Garcia's Carpets joined in the celebrations alongside the Apollo 11 ticker tape parade but an anti-war demonstration took place next to the store which was disrupted by a gun-wielding neo-Nazi chasing a local archaeology professor from nearby Hunter College.[1]
