Gently Roasted vanAhira was the first course served at the Guardian of Tradition Dinner given at Pankot Palace in 1935. It was roast wild boar, presented with its roasted suckling offspring.[1] Willie Scott thougth the serving was a bit gruesome.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The serving of the Gently Roasted vanAhira was not shown in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,[3] but was filmed as proven by the pictures included in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: A Tale of High Adventure.[4]

"vanAhira" is a Sanskrit word for hog/wild boar.
