"Germany, Mid-August 1916" is the ninth episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, and the third episode in season two.
It originally aired on ABC on October 5, 1992 and forms the second half of a two-part story arc in which Indiana Jones is captured and escapes German forces during World War I. A third episode, "Berlin, Late August 1916", depicting Jones's return to the front lines was considered but it ultimately wasn't produced.
In 1999, "Germany, Mid-August 1916" was combined with "Somme, Early August 1916" for release on home video as the feature-length Trenches of Hell.
